About the Position

The Interdisciplinary Global Programs (IGP) part-time coordinator reports to one of the Program Coordinators, Sr in IGP and will work to support the day-to-day operations of IGP. This position does primarily administrative work along with some support in building out marketing materials. The successful candidate will be required to work a consistent schedule of 29 hours in-person in the working hours of 8am-5pm. Some after-hours events will be required.

Expected Commitment:

  • 29 hours per week.
  • 1-year time commitment minimum preferred.
  • Desired start date end of September, no later than October 1st.
Responsibilities Include

70% - Administration and Operations

  • Assist in student support services such as the processing of applications, excusals, withdrawals, and audits.
  • Administer main contact mailbox and phone for IGP and maintain contact database.
  • Manage and track student submitted materials.
  • Attend and support team meetings and IGP events.

15% - Marketing and Recruitment

  • Website support.
  • Create presentation content as needed.
  • Attend recruitment events as needed.

10% - Data Management

  • Complete data analysis and corresponding reports and a summary dashboard of program data.

5% - Other

  • Lead and support special projects as they arise, in areas such as: research, international education, grant-writing support, and ambassadorship.
  • Serve as a role model for student workers and IGP students.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • 2 years of international experience, either through living/studying abroad or working with international students.

*A combination of related education, experience, and training may be used as an equivalent to the above Minimum Qualifications.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience organizing and facilitating educational, cultural, and social events across student and alumni audiences.
  • Experience with data analysis using program statistics for reporting.
  • Experience using MS Office Suite, Canva, Microsoft Teams, Enterprise Reporting, PeopleSoft, Salesforce, CANVAS, and Event Management tools is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • MS Office Suite, Canva, Microsoft Teams, Enterprise Reporting, PeopleSoft, Salesforce, CANVAS, and Event Management tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and function in a variety of environments including events, office space, and representing NAU at off-campus activities.
  • Ability to maintain a polite and professional attitude and follow established procedures and policies for serving our students, faculty, and staff.
  • Ability to execute marketing campaigns, social media posts on various platforms, creating website content, including blog posts.
  • Foreign language abilities.
  • Ability to comfortably interact with people from diverse backgrounds.

Compensation

Hourly Rate is $18.50. Annual salary commensurate with candidate's qualifications and related experience.

You may also be required to complete a fingerprint background check. Notice of Availability of the Annual Fire and Security Report

Each year Northern Arizona University releases an Annual Security Report. The report is a result of a federal law known as the Clery Act. The report includes Clery reportable crime statistics for the three most recent completed calendar years and discloses procedures, practices and programs NAU uses to keep students and employees safe including how to report crimes or other emergencies occurring on campus. In addition, the Fire Safety Report is combined with the Annual Security Report for the NAU Flagstaff Mountain Campus as this campus has on-campus student housing. This report discloses fire safety policies and procedures related to on-campus student housing and statistics for fires that occurred in those facilities.
