NAU Career Development empowers students to confidently navigate their careers as citizens of an evolving and global world. NAU Career Development, part of Student Affairs, is located in the University Union. We are a dynamic team focused on preparing students for the current workforce and workplace, through career advising and education, connecting students to job and internship providers, and promoting consistent, compliant, and meaningful student employment and internship experiences. We are responsible for collaborating with college-specific career development professionals, student affairs programs, faculty, and other university departments.
We are looking for an individual to assist with the day-to-day operations of the Job Shadow Program which aims to strengthen students’ career preparedness through short-term experiential learning. The Experiential Learning Coordinator will assist with all aspects of the Job Shadow Program, including meeting one-on-one with students to help them prepare for job shadows, communicating with students before and after job shadows, communicating with employers, tracking data, and marketing the program. The ideal candidate will have foundational career development knowledge, strong communication skills, and demonstrate a commitment to supporting students in their pursuit of career readiness. This position provides direct service to students requiring in-person work at the Flagstaff Mountain Campus between the hours of 8am-5pm M-F.

Salary range begins at $20.00. Annual salary commensurate with candidate's qualifications and related experience.
Northern Arizona University requires satisfactory results for the following: a criminal background investigation, an employment history verification and a degree verification (in some cases) prior to employment. You may also be required to complete a fingerprint background check. Each year Northern Arizona University releases an Annual Security Report. The report is a result of a federal law known as the Clery Act. The report includes Clery reportable crime statistics for the three most recent completed calendar years and discloses procedures, practices and programs NAU uses to keep students and employees safe including how to report crimes or other emergencies occurring on campus. In addition, the Fire Safety Report is combined with the Annual Security Report for the NAU Flagstaff Mountain Campus as this campus has on-campus student housing. This report discloses fire safety policies and procedures related to on-campus student housing and statistics for fires that occurred in those facilities.
