Unions and Activities, reporting under Campus Services and Activities, strives to offer the finest services and amenities for the students and visitors of Northern Arizona University through providing access to a variety of student services, being a hub for student support departments. Unions and Activities serves as the central hub for campus engagement, overseeing and supporting a wide range of events and programs that enrich student life. The department manages operations for key campus venues, including the University Union, University Union Field House, duBois South Union, Prochnow Auditorium, and other event spaces across campus. Unions and Activities is also home to SUN Entertainment and Yellow Bike.
This position serves as the primary contact for student clubs and organizations hosting on-campus events. Responsibilities include providing guidance on event planning, logistics, marketing, and compliance with university policies. The role promotes access to financial and logistical resources, fosters partnerships between student organizations and campus departments, and ensures proper coordination with appropriate processes and procedures.
Additional duties include supporting summer camps and conferences, assisting with campus-wide events, and collaborating with departments to enhance student engagement. The position maintains event calendars, updates website content, and provides administrative support for funding processes. By building strong campus relationships and supporting diverse programming, this role contributes to a vibrant and inclusive campus community.

Northern Arizona University requires satisfactory results for the following: a criminal background investigation, an employment history verification and a degree verification (in some cases) prior to employment. You may also be required to complete a fingerprint background check. Each year Northern Arizona University releases an Annual Security Report. The report is a result of a federal law known as the Clery Act. The report includes Clery reportable crime statistics for the three most recent completed calendar years and discloses procedures, practices and programs NAU uses to keep students and employees safe including how to report crimes or other emergencies occurring on campus. In addition, the Fire Safety Report is combined with the Annual Security Report for the NAU Flagstaff Mountain Campus as this campus has on-campus student housing. This report discloses fire safety policies and procedures related to on-campus student housing and statistics for fires that occurred in those facilities.
